Information : Forum Rules

All Members of Tuna Snax (except those ranked Pondlife) have the right to post and create threads on the Tuna Snax forums.

These are the rules that we expect Members to follow when using the Tuna Snax Forums. This is for the benefit of all Forum users and helps to make the Forums a helpful, useful place for the exchange of ideas and information.

Any Member who breaks a rule might receive a warning, but this is not mandatory. You can be banned for your first offense of breaking these rules.

Principle Rules

Breaking any of the rules in this list is totally unacceptable under any circumstances. Any Member who breaks these rules will be banned from the Forums. No exceptions. If the offence is blatent and gratuitous, the Member could also be banned from the whole site.

- Using racist, sexist, homophobic or hateful language.

- Linking to pornographic or NSFW material without a clear warning.

- Posting pornographic (including cartoon porn) or NSFW (Not Safe For Work) material.

- Linking to viruses, referral sites, or maliciously coded websites either in your signature or in your post.

- Discussing illegal activities – including, but not limited to: ROMs, cracks, warez and hacking.

- Instigating or discussing malicious attacks on other websites

- Posting using multiple accounts - strictly one account per user. All duplicate accounts will be deleted.

- Using an alternate account to post whilst you are already banned (in any account).

- Impersonating Administrators, Moderators, or other Tuna Snax Members.

- Posting any member's real life information without permission.

- Making multiple short posts (five words or less) over a short time period.

- Trying to bluff your way around any of these rules.

General Rules

Breaking these rules is not a positive contribution to the Forums. Repeatedly breaking these rules makes you a negative influence on the Forums and that will almost certainly cost you a lot of Rank points and eventually get you banned from the Forums. Think before you post.

- Remaking or complaining about a locked or deleted thread, by creating a new thread.

- Complaining or boasting about any ban, including comments in signature text.

- Backseat modding: pointing out what needs to be deleted, banned, locked or destroyed.

- Posting flashing or strobing images, or picture spamming: repeatedly posting the same picture or posting irrelevant / overused images.

- Chasing / harassing / flaming other users, regardless of "who started it".

- Harassing other users by having a continuous negative or bitter attitude towards them.

- Insulting or harassing the moderators or administrators.

- Trolling: cruising the boards looking for a fight.

- Recreating a thread that has been created recently. Use the search bar before hitting "New Topic"!

- Posting excessively in a language other than English for the sole purpose of excluding the majority of the users.

- Making "Hi, I'm new", "I'm back", or "I'm leaving Tuna Snax" threads without significant content pertinent to your situation.

- ALL CAPS posting.

- Repeatedly advertising your website.

- Posting "Use the search", "Use Google" or similar messages without providing relevant links.

- Using the Forums as your personal Instant Chat zone. If you want to "chat" - use an instant messenger client or PM the Member(s) in question.

- Trying to bluff your way around any of these rules.

Forum Code of Practice

Some simple guidelines:

- Use proper punctuation and grammar.

- Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.

- Read the entirety of every thread you post in before you post.

- If you're about to make a post that you're not sure is OK, whether covered by the rules or not, don't risk it. You will just have to come back and delete it later, to stop your Rank score tumbling!

All contributions to the Tuna Snax Forums will ultimately be policed by the Snaxers themselves, through the vote up / vote down buttons next to every post.

Remember - if your posts are getting a lot of negative votes, your site rank will drop very quickly and in no time at all, you will find yourself automatically banned from not only the Forums, but a large part of the rest of the site too!

Generally speaking, try to make your posts relevant and informative. You can gain points and site rank a lot quicker through making a significant positive contribution on the Forums, than through just about any other section of the site.

Creating New Topics & Posting

Before making a topic make sure you are posting in the correct forum. The moderators don't have tools to move your topic, so if it doesn't belong it will be deleted. It should be pretty clear where to post since each forum has a description. When making a topic in the general forum, try to keep it somewhat Tuna Snax, too. Use your Profile text to tell us about your current favourite Care Bear...

Give your topic a good title! "WTF?" or "Help needed..." is not very informative and will not encourage people to take time to read your post.

Before posting a topic, please ask yourself the following question: "Am I making a post which is either funny, informative, or interesting on some level?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please post. If you cannot, then please don't.

Before replying, please ask yourself: "Does my reply offer any significant advice or help contribute to the conversation in any fashion?" Remember - all posts are voted for on their usefulness. Don't jepardise your hard earned points by posting thoughtlessly.

Please contact us if you have a question or general comment. We'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
